- * Project updated on 25 April 2007 according to information from the project contact persons * Environmentalists and abutters of a cement factory in St. Leonhard protested against the input of substitute fuel (burning of synthetics and used tyres) and proposed a participative process to settle this difference. A mediation started in 1996 in co-operation with the Austrian Institute of Ecology. The result of this project is an agreement by civil law that was developed by the "Bürgerbeirat" (the civil board) and the cement factory about the kind of use of substitute fuel (amount, consistence, limit values for emissions, supervising and technical progression).
